Experience has shown that a proton energy of 18 MeV is optimal to obtain the highest throughput for most PET isotopes. The production capacity of your center will be increased and optimized, as will your income; and the occupied floor space will be of a reasonable size, as will your investment. It follows that 18 MeV cyclotrons are the most cost effective solution for your isotope production laboratory. The growing demand for radioisotopes means the need to improve equipment efficiency.
